Pierre was born in France
to Portuguese immigrants and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area
from the age of two. He got his education in San Jose, CA as well
as the Azores, Portugal. He graduated high school at the age of
15 in the Azores. He then graduated vocational college with honors
in Fremont, CA.
Pierre started his automotive career at the age of 18 working for
the Bay Areas most prestigous tire and wheel outfitters then moving
on to Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co of Los Gatos, California. He
received training in sales, service and tire construction / performance.
He also worked in other divisions at Goodyear including the commercial
truck tire and wholesale division for a total of five years. For
the next five years, he worked at Mark's Automotive, which was known
for its incredible Corvette restorations and hot rod maintenance.
He worked at the Bay Area's premier speed shop, Speed Merchant
in San Jose, California. Pierre was brought in for his excellent
preventive maintenance/repair skills that have been applied to many
club and professional racecars. He worked on everything from Don's
season champion Camaro to the famous Corvettes of the World Challenge
series. He has been part of building and designing many of the classic
muscle cars seen in today's magazines. His problem solving and leadership
skills have lead him to the position of shop foreman in the short
time of four years. While at Speed Merchant, Pierre has become an
expert at Holley fuel injection and carburetor tuning as well as
being a custom wheel aligner, exhaust fabricator and diagnostic
professional. Pierre is also A.S.E. certified.
Pierre now works at Motion Motosports in Morgan Hill, CA. They
specialize in anything from changing oil in the family minivan to
building racecars from the ground up!
He specializes in late model General Motors V8 vehicles and all
"hot rods." His hobbies include riding his 2000 Moto Guzzi
Jackal and repairing motorcycles. He likes all rock music, especially
AC/DC. His favorite movie is Deuce Bigalo. |
