| Joey “smooth”
Jarosz was born and raised in Passaic, New Jersey. He spent 10 years
in upstate New York living the life of a mountain man including
living in a cabin, being a volunteer fire fighter, and hunting for
his dinner. When he was growing up in Jersey, he used to drag and
street race a 1968 Camaro. He also worked at a garage that serviced
Corvettes, Camaros, Kudas, as well as other sports cars. He moved
to California in 1987.
Joey attended some of the best engineering colleges in the northeast.
He received an Associates degree from Fulton-Montgomery Community
College. The degree was in Electronic Technology. He also has credits
from various other colleges.
Joey has worked in the computer software industry for the last
22 years. He started
hot-n-GUI, Inc. www.hotngui.com
, a software consulting firm, over 10 years ago. The company specializes
in the design and implementation of the user interface portions
of computer programs. In short, they help make very complex tasks
easy for users to accomplish using the computer.
He is a founding member of D&J Racing www.dj-racing.net
, a team devoted to having fun and going fast. The team races their
own Corvettes as well as sponsors several amateur and professional
racecars. Joey belongs to Santa Clara Corvettes www.sccorvettes.org
, Team-ZR1, and the Western State Corvettes Council. He drives a
2006 Corvette Z06. These days, he is either racing, crewing for
a racer, or sitting in front of a computer. As a favor to teammates
and friends, he makes vinyl numbers and other decals for racecars.
